Orthotic Solutions, Inc. is an experienced provider of "geriatric-proof", simple-to-apply Orthotics, splints and braces for the knee and back using the newest technologies and Diabetic Footwear - all of which is covered by insurance. Every Therapist, Resident/Patient, Nurse and Family Member will receive the highest degree of expertise and professionalism. Calls are usually returned within several hours, but no longer than 24 hours. Appointments are typically set within 0-3 business days and are made at the location where the patient/resident resides (SNF, Home, Group home, etc.). Most orthotics are stocked for immediate delivery. Knee & Back braces and AFO's are typically fitted within one week after assessment. Diabetic foot assessments and measuring take place within several days after receipt of all necessary paperwork. Shoes are fitted usually within 10-14 business days after the assessment. Each resident will receive compassion, understanding and a positive attitude.

Medicare Part B and some plans cover 80% (please refer to "Coverage Criteria" in each section).

Most people have a secondary insurance to cover the 20% co-payment.

Senior Whole Health, HPHC, Fallon, CCA and most BC/BS plans cover 100%.

Orthotic Solutions, Inc. is responsible for obtaining Physician orders and all necessary paperwork AND does all of the billing to insurance companies. If OSI experiences any difficulties in obtaining the necessary paperwork, the patient or family member may have to assist us in the process.

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

Ms. Pamela A. Hoaglund, CMOTSF (Certified Mastectomy Orthotic Therapeutic Shoe Fitter), founder and President of Orthotic Solutions, Inc.,  began her career with American Geriatric Services in 1994. In February of 2000, she became a Medicare provider and started her own business: Orthotic Solutions of New England. In March of 2005, Orthotic Solutions incorporated.  May of 2009, OSI became accredited by The Joint Commission and has successfully completed every survey thereafter.


    

 

MEET THE TEAM!


Pamela Hoaglund, CMOTSF, provides all of the orthotics, braces and footwear in the town of Plymouth .  She is a graduate of Assumption College in Worcester, MA.  She has assessed and fitted thousands of patients for positioning and contracture management and has conducted hundreds of in-services aimed at educating Rehab staff on the various products available and caregivers on the products' proper application.  Pamela is certified with the Board of Certification/Accreditation International and is registered with the American Board for Certification in O&P as an Orthotics/Mastectomy/Therapeutic Shoe Fitter.

 

Tina Fegan, PTA, has been a practicing Physical Therapist Assistant since 1996. She is a graduate of Newbury College in Brookline, MA and also attended 3 years of college at UMass Boston. Tina's many years of hands on experience in her profession gives her the vast knowledge to assess and fit clients for orthotics and braces. Tina continues her education in therapeutic shoe/insert fitting and will seek certification. Tina has performed in-services at senior centers, nursing facilities, VNA's and rehab centers to caregivers on products and their proper application and use. She has attended multiple training's as well as completing the "Certified Fitter of Therapeutic Shoes Pre-Certification Course".

 

Nancy Calvin, OTR/L, has over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist and managing single-site and multi-site (Regional) Rehabilitation Programs. She has extensive experience working with patients needing orthotic devices and braces and has also done extensive training with therapists, patients and their caregivers/family members. She has attended multiple training's as well as completing the "Certified Fitter of Therapeutic Shoes Pre-Certification Course".

 

 

 

Matt Fothergill, DPT, is a graduate of Northeastern University with a doctorate of Physical Therapy. He was a Physical Therapy Clinical Student at Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers PBC in Lake Worth, Florida from September 2016 to December 2016. Matt also was a Sports Rehab & Performance Co-Op Student at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, New York from December 2014 to June 2015. Matt’s extensive education and work experience makes him an asset to the team and to his patients.

Jamie Stewart, COTA/L, graduated from Bristol Community College in 2010. He has worked in severalskilled nursing facilities along his journey and has treated hundreds of patients for contracture management and positioning. Jamie has assessed and fitted over 100 people for diabetic footwear and his goal is to work for Orthotic Solutions full time by the summer of 2019.

 

 

 

Alacyn McNeely, PTA, is a graduate of Massasoit Community College.She has worked in several skillednursing facilities along her journey and has treated hundreds of patients for contracture management and positioning. Currently Alacyn works for the Norwell VNA & Hospice and also assesses for and fits orthotics and diabetic footwear for patients on the South Shore.

 

 

Laura J. Strong, COTA/L, has been a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for the past 20 years. In this field she has gained extensive knowledge in the assessment & fitting of orthotics & braces. During her medical profession she has worked with a vast variety of clients with different disorders. She has attended multiple training's as well as completing the "Certified Fitter of Therapeutic Shoes Pre-Certification Course".
